Squall Leonhart is a reclusive, 17-Year old. Squall is a student at a famous military school, Garden and wishes to become a
member of SeeD, a famous military organization, of which members of every country are in. We join Squall while he is still in
Garden, and on his first mission, with his seeming intructor Seifer.It should also be noted that Squall has an attraction to another character,Rinoa.

Laguna Liore hails from a different planet than Squall. This is the planet many speculate will invade Squall's, causing a war.
However, Laguna is not hostile, nor an enemy. In fact, although Laguna is not on the FF8 demo, he is supposedly a huge
character. After all, he was the second sketch released. Laguna, a journalist, is very peaceful and calm. It almost seems that
Laguna is the yin and Squall is the yang, like an odd couple. At some point in the game, the duo are supposed to come together.
When this happens, is not confirmed, but judging from the demo, it'll probably be someway into it.

Riona is the young woman found in the Final Fantasy VIII logo. Riona is a young woman, and it appears she is going to the same
school (Garden) as Squall. After all, they share the same birthyears. Though a lady, Riona is not one to sit around. With her
spiked shield, she can put up more than a good fight against most people, dictated by her skills shown in the demo.

Zell is a young character, just like Riona and Squall. Sporting a wild hair-do, and a wierd looking tatoo on his face, Zell is one of
the most exciting looking characters in awhile. As we begin with Zell, he is apparently looking into Garden, and joins Riona and
Squall on their first mission. What part Zell will eventually play is not known, but it can be assumed he'll be a party member for some duration of the game.

Seifer is a stunning 18-Year old. Farther ahead than Squall, or Riona, Sefier leads them on their first mission, which is seen in the
FFVII demo. Wielding a broad sword, there is a great sense of awe about him. Already, it seems as though there is tension
between Seifer and Squall. Whether Seifer remains an ally, or devlops into the antagonist has not yet been revealed.
